We offer an expanding list of gene research tools including retroviral shRNA and cDNA expression constructs, as well as luciferase transcription reporters.  Following the hyperlink in the navigation bar on the left or subheadings below for reagents that will accelerate your research.

1.    "Ready-To-Use" retroviral shRNA  constructs

The RNA interference (RNAi) has emerged into a powerful genetic means for manipulating gene function. We are in the process of developing retrovirus based shRNA constructs for individual gene families in coping with the increasing demands for such gene specific RNAi tools, and will release them as each collection is completed.  These shRNA constructs are made in the Murine Stem Cell Virus (MSCV) derived pRetro-H1G vector, which can be packaged into replication-defective retrovirus particles in either amphitropic or ecotropic packaging cells to infect a wide array of proliferating cells.   Alternatively, these constructs can be used directly as plasmid DNA in transient transfection experiments. A varying number of shRNA constructs are prepared for each selected gene.  The target sequence in the shRNA hairpin stem is chosen according to a set of widely accepted design rules, with some consisting of 19 basepairs (when the terminal "AA" rule was used) while others of 21 basepairs.  Each of these constructs has been sequencing verified to confirm the correct hairpin sequence.  These shRNA vectors are available as glycerol stocks. 2.    Full length cDNA clones and mutants

We carry a number of matched cDNA clone sets of wild-type, dominant negative and/or constitutive active mutants in the pRPCX retroviral expression vector.  These clones are valuable tools in addressing gene functions in different cellular processes and are made available to expedite your research.  We constantly add more clones to this offering list as they are generated.  Please visit often to find those that suit your needs.  We also offer custom construction service for such clones under "Gene Services".  These clones are available as glycerol stocks.

3.    Luciferase transcription reporters

We also offer luciferase transcription reporters for assaying gene pathway activity.  Some of these report constructs are made of gene promoters while others are consisted of multiple copies of defined TF binding elements.  These reporters are available as glycerol stocks.
